The Africa Europe Faith and Justice Network Ireland (AEFJN Ireland) are recruiting congregations to join their antenna (branch) to work for social and economic justice between the European Union and sub-Saharan Africa.

AEFJN is a faith-based international network with branches across Africa and Europe, which promotes economic justice between the European Union and sub-Saharan Africa. The Sisters of Our Lady of the Apostles (OLA) and the Society of African Missions (SMA) in collaboration with AMRI re-established an AEFJN Ireland branch in July 2021. Since then, ten religious and missionary congregations in Ireland have joined the antenna to raise awareness of (in)justice issues that impact on Africa and to campaign for just solutions. This is promoted though a Christian response.

AEFJN Ireland are reaching out to the members of AMRI to encourage individuals within your congregation/order or a staff member who you think may be interested in joining our antenna and working collaboratively with other congregations in seeking sustainable solutions to justice issues across the continent of Africa.

The time commitment includes participation in monthly Zoom meetings and occasional event planning meetings. We generally run 3 events per year. A willingness to contribute to group work and discussions and generosity with time are sought-after characteristics.

If you think anyone in you congregation may be interested, please contact the Secretary at aefjn@aefjn.org
