AMRI to formally remove its account with social media platform ‘X’

AMRI has made the informed decision to add their name to a growing list of actors, journalists, entrepreneurs, media and other professionals who are actively removing themselves and/or their content from Elon Musk’s social media platform ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter.

The decision was based amid the growing concerns as regards the increasingly far-right, fascist, racist and misogynistic content on the platform.

“…it’s behaving much more like a bespoke platform, created by the far right. This marks it out significantly from any other platform. And it’s extremely toxic, an order of magnitude worse, not least because, while it still has terms of service, they’re not necessarily implementing them.” (Joe Mulhall, head of research at Hope Not Hate in The Guardian)

AMRI continue to operate and develop its Instagram and Facebook account and will consider joining the evolving social media platform Bluesky.
