The AFRICA EUROPE FAITH AND JUSTICE NETWORK (AEFJN) is a Faith-Based International Network present in AFRICA and in EUROPE, established in 1988. AEFJN promotes economic justice between the European Union and sub-Saharan Africa. AEFJN Ireland is a new Antenna (National Branch) that builds on the collaboration of 9 congregations.
Our Key Activities:
Advocacy and Awareness Raising
- Advocacy and Awareness Raising as we highlight the problems in the economic and political relationships between Europe and Africa
- Reveal policies that cause these problems and do harm
- Campaign for solutions
- Support other AEFJN – Antennae in Africa
- AEFJN-Ireland is a member of the Irish Coalition for Business and Human Rights who are advocating for a UN binding Treaty and EU regulation of multi-national supply chains
- AEFJN-Ireland works with the AEFJN Secretariat in Brussels and other antennae, especially in Africa to promote its aims
- To highlight problems in the economic relationship between Europe and Africa.
- To reveal policies that cause these problems and do harm, and;
- To campaign for policy solutions.
