The Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome is pleased to announce a scholarship specifically aimed at religious sisters, for a one year study period.
The Angelicum is announcing the second year of the St. Catherine of Siena Scholarship Program, which in its first year gave financial aid to 20 religious sisters to study in Rome.
The St. Catherine of Siena Scholarship Program provides financial aid to religious sisters to study for a one-year diploma program at the Angelicum in Rome.
The Scholarship covers all academic fees and provides a generous housing stipend (€8,000), to cover the costs of room and board.
The scholars will enroll in one of three one-year diploma programs, for the 2023-24 academic year (September 2023 to June 2024):
- Diploma in Theological Studies: Wisdom and Virtue Track
Courses: Introduction to Canon Law; Introduction to the World’s Great Religions; Christian Faith, Hope and Charity; Spiritual Theology; Justice and Allied Virtues; Theology of Grace; Fundamental Moral Theology; History of the Ancient Church; Specialized Morals – Familial Issues; Spiritual Direction for Religious; Canon Law for Religious. - Diploma in Theological Studies: Theology in Action Track
Courses: Fundamental Theology; Christian Faith, Hope and Charity; Spiritual Theology; Theology of Creation; Mystery of the Living God; Fundamental Moral Theology; Prudence, Fortitude and Temperance; Spiritual Direction for Religious; Canon Law for Religious. - Diploma for Formators
Courses: The Pastoral of Life: Foundation and Proposal; Psychology of Personality; Education in New Languages; Intersubjective Pedagogy; Psychology of Group Relations; Vocation and Following in the New Testament; Interreligious Dialogue; Understanding Suffering in the History of Salvation; Theology of the Laity; 2 seminars.
All courses will be in English.
